As a lifelong Alaskan, it has been a constant frustration that our local politics get so little coverage, even in the publications that specifically brand themselves as being local news oriented. If there isn’t controversy, there isn’t coverage. In the summer of 2021, I began attending the Anchorage Assembly meetings myself and after six months of live tweeting and annoying my peers in person, I feel it is time to start doing more consistent write ups.
